Song Thrush in Trow this morning, and more and more Fulmar starting to claim there ledge on Frenchmans cliff faces.

Another wander around Whitburn CP in the afternoon and may as well have been at the N.Pole as it was getting so cold.
The Curlew were still there in numbers but not much else.

A rare visit to the front garden this morning of a Goldcrest only 6ft in front of the window but too slow for me to get a pic as it flitted off.

colliery woods today masses of long tailed, blue and great tit seemed to be everywhere, not much else though. jarrow slake there was 13 shelduck on the north side mudflats and 2 on our side. 3 little grebe on the tyne around the car ferry terminal, countless teal on both sides of the tyne and 1 juv mute swan. 2 brown rat were knocking about the bottom car park, so i threw a bit bread out the van window and they both came within 10 foot, carrying bread back to a sett somewhere towards the river.

Waxwing seen three of four times today on the same large shrub in the pub car park. Record shot below rubbish photo as taken through glass, in bad light and a big crop.

Also male sparrowhawk has been in my garden a few times today sitting on the fence.
