There has been some nice birds around this weekend although I haven't been able to get out and about so see them. A couple of nice birds on the feeders today in the shape of a coaltit and male bullfinch.

Westoe cem. Davy G. has seen a Brambling here...I had a Coal tit of note today.

Boldon flats this morn- The Bewicks and Beans had departed before many of us arrived, but a fantastic number of White fronts showing in family groups in the opposite field really well, 17 was my best count eventually.....

Alright Sid, the finches look to be goldfinch. Iknow what you mean about goldcrests, really hard to get a decent pic as they flit about

Had a walk along the pier over my dinner break and saw male and female golden eye land between the pier and groyne. Managed a couple of very distant record shots but you can still make out the white flank and belly. Also 2 red throated divers again, 3 cormorant, oystercatcher, and 6 pied wags

looking at that pic there seems to be what appears to be a siskin in with the goldfinches (2/3 of the way down 2/3 of the way accross), I've seen them flock together before.
