Yeah pretty poor quality photo's there Derek ......... could have done better mate.

LOL - thanks mate, but the Treecreeper was shot at ISO1000 1/50th second - would have liked to get at least 1/250th for more feather detail

Visit to South Shields yesterday. The Kestrel is still hanging around Trow. Also very brief sightings of a seal just off the pier. Not much else going on .Plenty of Sanderlings and Ringed Plovers at the pier (about 20 of each)

HI Paul

Its a while now since I last saw a Grey Seal off Trow. I see you got sorted with resizing your photo's as well, great stuff.

Yeah John it was a nice suprise seeing the seal albeit briefly, I realised I had a programme already installed to change the size of photo's although I still don't understand any of it.

Had a good tramp around the Leas today along the hedge and back along the coastline, not a single Skylark or Med. pip. still.
80 Golden plover went over north, both usual Little Owls showed...(path and tree birds) and the male semi-tame Kestrel. Along the coast- 8 Eiders, 3 Red throated divers, Fulmars still visiting nest ledges and a single Rock pipit. And the bloke who has the fishing hut in the small bay seemed to have had a canny trip out in his small boat.

Hi Paul,

Thanks mate .... Anyway Cresswell is dead easy to find and you don't need a key - bit of a trek from your place though

Will email you a map - but basically head towards Amble and its approx 8 miles south.

I've not seen either of the Owls at trow in all the visits I've made. I'm usually pretty lucky with the Marsden Quarry two though.

Called ito harton cem again today. Approx 30-40 redwings near the chapel, best views i've had so far of the tree creeper, 8 stock doves, great spotted woodpecker, mixed tit flock and large flock of gold and chaffinches with the red wings. Popped into trow on way home and spotted dougie photographing the little owl, nice to see you mate. Couple of mallards of the second bay and lapwing on the grass embankment. Kestrel in the main bowl on way back to the car, 2 songthrushes near mangoes.
