great shots of the shorties Ray.

Quick look over saxon way this morning for waxwings but still no sign of any, a nice bonus bird was a brambling possibly 2 but the second bird was in the sun and i couldnt make out what it was for sure, then both birds flew off together. a covey of 6 grey partridge were feeding near the road at boldon flats, half a dozen redshank, good numbers of teal and wigeon. later on in the morning i found a couple of roosting long eared owls absolutely brilliant, didnt notice them until i was right next to them. i took a few photos of them then left sharpish keeping disturbance to a minimum. the second bird had a much whiter face and an overall paler plumage.

Pic 1 Ringed Plover, pic 2 looks like Red Throated to me Sid, going by the upturned bill. But hey! could be wrong.
Nice pics, all the same.

Nice Long Eared Keith, don't think I've seen one this year, let alone, managed to photograph one.
