Had a walk along the hedge on the Leas early evening and just about every bush had a blackbird in it!!!

Behind the hedge were small flocks of fieldfare and redwing.

Whitburn cp.- Dusky Warbler showed twice whilst here, Thousands of thrushs dropped in the foggy conditions before dinner time today and 3 Crossbills dropped in briefly before heading off. 3 Ring Ouzels seen around here today : 1 behind the lodge pub, 1 behind the ringing mound and 1 on Jackies beach. Snow bunting on the coastal path beside the Obs.

Not been able to get out of the house this week so not able to see all of the goodies at WCP etc. Reduced to enticing birds onto my patio in between rain/snow/fog

Skein of 30 or so geese dropped towards Boldon Flats at 5:10pm tonight with very pale underparts prominent in the gloom, Barnacles?
