Had some Local Kingfishers nesting with young in the nest. The nest has been completely washed away in the floods I'm so gutted, most probably the worst I've felt since watching birds.

Great day out today although not much seen. Great to meet up with Sid at Trow although there wasn't much around. A good natter with John B Jason and Dougie at the bird less ringing station. As always a pleasure to see Steve, Jan and John S back at Trow and a big thanks to Dougie and Steve for their help locating the ring ouzels (Two of) Bad Picture attached. Also a picture of a Kestrel Hovering so close above me I thought I was Kestrel Food

The area at Whitburn is starting to look the Business lads and lasses well done.

Garganey still showing at Bolden Flats this afternoon, although fairly distant, also 2 lesser whitethroat up the lane on opposite side of main road.
