Whitburn point LNR Toad help.

Over the last couple of days Toads have been out in force around this site. Yesterday 247 where collected and today over 15o.
These critters have a barrier in the form of a stone wall to contend with in places around this reserve, before reaching thier spawning pond. So any help giving the Toads a lift here to the old pond in the reserve would be welcomed. The main area they are being found in is here- NZ413633.

A local lad has collected the Toads here for a few years now and sends all the data on. Its looking like a new record will be set this year. So if anyone has a walk around here take a bag and help the Toads reach thier spawning pond.

A quick visit into the LNR to drop the toads off in the reeded pond I am sure will not be of harm within the next couple of weeks. Common sense applies...its a Nature Reserve and not normally a place you can access.

Any Toad counts pass them on please. Alan the "Toad man" here is over the moon regards help so far.
