Hi All

The CCG website http://southtynesideccg.org/ has just reached another milestone in its short history by clocking up 2000 visitors to the site. The work on it is still on going but I hope to finish it before the Forth Road bridge is finally painted. .

Regards
John

Great news John!

You should ask a few of the lads who get on here with blogs and websites to reciprocate links just like we did for each other to spread the word. You (as in ccg members, not just you personally) can also try adding a link in your signature in any other forums you're a member of, as then you'll target like minded people with similar interests.

Volunteer Help wanted this Sat 29th Oct

Hi Everyone,
This Saturday 29th October there is a volunteer site management task day at West Boldon Lodge (formerly the env education centre) from 10am until 3pm. We currently only have 1 person booked on and the event is at risk of being cancelled, so I'm appealing to CCG to encourage people to come and lend a hand. Booking is required and the details are below - even if you can only come for an hour or two the help will be gratefully received.

Saturday 29th October, 10am - 3pm.

Every year tens of thousands of people get together to make a difference in their communities for CSV Make a Difference Day, the UK's biggest day of volunteering. Join us as we undertake a variety of essential site maintenance tasks on the West Boldon site such as woodland management, grassland management, pond clearance and footpath work. This is a chance to try your hand at some traditional countryside management techniques.

Please dress in clothes that you do not mind getting dirty and bring along waterproofs and wellies if you have them. You will need to bring as packed lunch. Light refreshments will be provided.

This event is suitable for adults and for families with children over the age of 8.
This is a South Tyneside Council Countryside Team event in partnership with Groundwork STAN.

The event is free but booking is essential for this event as numbers are limited.

Venue: West Boldon Lodge, West Boldon Substation, Newcastle Rd, West Boldon. NE36 0BG

Contact: The Education Team on 0191 536 4873 or westboldonlodge@groundwork.org.uk

Cheers
Clare
