I'm fine for the 15th but if people cannot make it I'll also go along if the date is re arranged. I suppose It will depend on how many can go. I've not been able to get out Birding (other than in my back garden) for about four weeks now so starting to get itchy feet

That's probably athletes foot

Try putting some cream on and then go for a long walk with your bins - works every time!!

Thanks for the response folks either way on the subject of this trip. Would anyone mind if we re-arrange it to the Sunday...the 16th. If so no problem it will stand as it is on the Saturday (15th).

Hi CCG-ers, I hope you're well. I 've just come across this grand opportunity that may fit your criteria. You may have seen it already but just in case here's the link http://www.communityfoundation.org.uk/29...rton-trust-fund I hope you are all keeping well. Also if anyone is interested in a bit of winter bird monitoring I know that the project officer for the Teesmouth and Cleveland EMS will be doing some monitoring for bird disturbance. Its a bit of a trek I know but just to let you know whats happening. If you're interested I can get in touch with Katherine about it. Cheers, Maeve.

Just received a copy of the South Tyneside Council's Countryside Newsletter via e-mail. Some very interesting articles in there especially one about the CCG. Complete with comments from Sir Douglas.

Here is the link for anyone who doesn't receive it:-

This makes interesting watching as a praying mantis attacks a humming bird.

We will re-arrange the date to Sunday the 16th. (this weekend). So its just a case of who's still interested and can make this date to sort car share out. etc.

Holy island as most folk aready know is normally a excellent place to visit this time of the year, along with other coastal sites along the Northumberland coastal strip. A few other sites maybe included in this trip depending on sightings this day.

Steve,

Count me in.

Crossing time is from 9.00 am so any time after 7.30 am should be ok to set off.

My car is available if needed and I don't mind driving

I'm stuffed for both days, took an extra 2 bookings for the Sunday thinking the Saturday would go ahead. You live and learn I suppose!

A few more "Wet ya lips" for tomorrows visit- The Lesser Scaup is still present at Marden quarry today with a normal Scaup, East Chev. has a White fronted goose with about 2000 Pinkies plus lots of other wildfowl. And thats after we have left the beautiful island and what it has in store!.
