I'm here!! Haven't been out lately, apart from topping the Westoe cem feeders up, as I'm full on job hunting. Got a 2nd interview tomorrow, so fingers crossed. Nice to feel that I can post something without it being ripped into.

Can you tell i'm jealous of your garden birds, mate

Hi All a few of you are having trouble with the adverts at the side of the Forum.

Unfortunately I can't get rid of them at present but you might like to try and reduce the size of you Browser
Window. At the bottom right of your screen (MS Explorer) you have a Magnifying Glass with 100% next to it
and by clicking on this you can reduce the visible screen to 75% and if this works for you, then you can try the custom
option and select a smaller or bigger %.
Hope this helps

Regards

John

John,

I have had a look at the website and it looks excellent and the improvements make a big difference. You should become a professional web designer

Just a thought but as there is now the forum and the website to keep up to date is it possible to give someone else access rights to update things such meeting dates, what's on, etc.

I am not volunteering but I am sure that someone would

Just a quick question, and forgive me if i have missed the obvious, but in my profile what is an ICQ No.

I assume that because I am asking what it is that I don't have one but just curious. Is it something to do with a criminal record or even worse a Paul Weller record?

Hi Brian

It is possible to give Moderator rights to some one else and I thought that it needs to be put to the group at a later date especially as we are "International" now.
Sometimes though having too many people involved with these things can lead to confusion as one person changes something that the other person has created.

Brian

I have done some research about CRB checks and came up with the following:-

Am I entitled to a free of charge CRB check?

A free of charge CRB check will be issued if you can meet the volunteer criteria:

The Police Act 1997 (Criminal Records) Regulations 2002 defines a volunteer as:

"volunteer" means a person engaged in an activity which involves spending time, unpaid (except for travel and other approved out-of-pocket expenses), doing something which aims to benefit some third party other than or in addition to a close relative.

As we can get them free should we apply for one for everyone who wants one or should we stick to three?
