i would agree with Steve, pinkies, they look a bit paler because the shot is a bit over-exposed

Not sure if anybody already has this, but it seems a great bargain at only £8.99

I was at Greenabella Marsh and Greatham Creek yesterday. Loads of ducks, waders and raptors, however, there was a bird on water and I'm not sure what it is. The pic isn't great due to the distance and lighting. It may be RN Grebe or Slavonian Grebe? Can someone let me know what they think. Thanks.

Mickys

I'm no expert but would have a decent guess at Slav Grebe I'm sure red necks have a more of yellow bill although they do look similar at this time of year

Thanks Paul and Ray - first time I've seen one of these but I know there's been one present at Hartlepool Marina lately.

No there hasn't I don't believe it exists at the marina. I've been there 4 times recently to try and see it and it's never been there. lol

LOL - Head into the Premier Inn car park and look up the first mooring inlet (literally as you are entering the car park) - its been in that area for the last 3 weeks - well thats where i have photographed it - its pretty tolerant of people as well now so it hangs around pretty close to the wall

Aye I'm the only person "lucky" enough to send my broken lens to be fixed to Jessops the day before they go bust. That was 6 weeks ago still not seen it
