Been looking through my books Steve - it looks like what is know as Monkey Flower - but i'm certainly no plant expert mate

Nice picture though

Found what looks like "Hen of the woods" (Grifola frondosa) fungi in Harton cem today. Apparently it's relatively rare and edible, although this particular specimen wasn't exactly young or fresh. I can't find anything even remotely similar looking in any of my books to confuse it with?

It's been a poor year compared to last year for fungi, but here's a one I spotted the other day in the westoe cem feeding station. I seem to remember glistening inkcap in this area last year as well, despite my attempts at seeding the area with horse mushrooms! Yes, they are edible, no they're not worth eating as only about 1-2cm wide and no they are definately not of the magic variety! Taken with an LED video light off camera as too close for flash and pretty dingy under the trees.

No expert Sid, but I'd hazard a guess at Dryads Saddle for your 1st post and the 3 on your 2nd post I'd guess at Shaggy Ink Cap, Oyster Mushroom (but don't eat them incase they aren't) and Omphalotus Olearius.

Yeah, good idea! It's sometimes hard to identify fungi from a photo because it doesn't give you any sense of scale (size) which can lead to mistaken ID's. Ask Santa for a fungi guide for Christmas as you seem to find some great specimens on your travels!

Some type of bracket fungi Sid, this particular one looks very similar to a one growing in Westoe Cemetery which can take my weight (17st+) and doesn't even budge!
